Courses start at 18:30 and run for between 90 and 120 minutes.

During this evening course whatever camera you have we will help you get to know the basics quickly and then onto more advanced features and you will soon be shooting like a pro and looking for things that you would have previously missed or simply been unable to photograph.

Wether your passion is photographing children or animals, weddings or flowers, we will teach you how to get the best from your camera. You might have a Canon,  Nikon, Sony or a Fuji, it simply does not matter.

During the introduction workshop you can expect to learn how to use your camera and lenses properly in all creative modes, learn what mode is best used for the situation as well as what each mode on your camera does.  We will teach you what to do in certain lighting conditions and how your camera plays a part in that but only if you tell it too, We will show you how to photograph fast moving things and how to do creative things like blur the backgrounds such as the first photo below and its all done in camera and not on a computer, we will also teach you how to shoot through wire and glass to produce amazing photographs.  This is an introduction evening run for between 90 minutes and 2 hours and you will come away feeling more confident and taking better photographs.

Workshops are run the first Monday and last Wednesday of each month, aditional dates will de added as needed.

Workshop fee £99.00  includes documentation and refreshments and is subject to availability and maximum 6 students per evening.

This evening is designed for somebody looking to improve their camera skills so you will need an SLR or a DSLR camera and lens as well as the camera manual although we probably have this.

Below are some photographs taken by our students on our full day workshop, there are many more on the homepage that get updated after every course, tell us about your passion and we will tailor the day to suit if possible.

Anyone wishing to book a full day course after and introduction course will receive a discount voucher.

Hi.
Lovely photos! :-)
Love the blue flower, still trying to get that blurred background effect right!

Evening courses are a fab idea, so many people look for things like this in evenings as it suits them better. Should be fab! Good luck. X

Thanks Jo,

we need to work on those backgrounds, its all down to careful focus and aperture size, we can go over it next time we get together

Thank you Jim, I love close ups like this too and its a perfect way to show how important selective focus is.
